Hypertension, peripheral vascular disease, Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus with peripheral neuropathy

Left foot healed in 30 days with weekly sharp debridement and daily SANTYL◊ Ointment*

Presented to ER with severe burns to bilateral feet after walking barefoot on hot sand on the beach
First presented in the office July 28, 2020

Initially, betadine solution and wet-to-dry dressing was applied to bilateral foot
Week two post-injury, surgical sharp debridement with ADAPTIC™, wet-to-dry dressing, ABD™ pad, KERLIX™ and ACE ™ wrap
Upon hospital discharge, dressings were removed and changed daily in order to observe the burn
SANTYL Ointment with XEROFORM™ and dry dressings were applied once daily
Patient was seen weekly in the office for sharp debridement and daily dressing changes were performed by home healthcare
Left foot healed in 30 days with weekly sharp debridement and daily SANTYL Ointment
Right foot/leg needed vascularizing, but progressed on healing after vascular intervention. Left foot healed in one and a half months; right foot healed in four months
